Sarin nerve gas attack in subway in Tokyo. 12 people died and about 5511 people
got injured.
Aum Shinrikyo cult deposits two containers filled with the poisonous gas Sarin
in the Tokyo subway system at Kasumagiseki-Station. In terms of casualties
created, this is the most serious terrorist incident of 1995.
The Aum cult also unsuccessfully tried to use biological weapons such as anthrax
and botulism to kill people. Its goal was to make the doomsday prophecies
of its leader come true.
